Running the bases

Today we did our annual Mariners game so the kids could run the bases. It was apparently cape day so both got to wear their own cape which of course lasted all of two seconds before they got bored with it :)

Nathan got his first mit and decided he was absolutely going to catch a ball. We were sitting in the Hit It Here Cafe though so we tried explaning the chances were a bit slim. Below is the face of determination....

We ran into his friend, Peter, which was awesome. They will have much to discuss when they see each other on Wednesday. Nathan has declared himself an Orioles fan so we shall see what the locals think of that.

Then we headed down to run the bases. Ali got a little scared this year because there were several people in costume on the field but I showed her Peter a few people in front of us and she decided it was ok to chase him. A few steps onto the field she made me carry her :) Normally Jason runs with them but I was excited to have a turn this year!
