Local Field Trip

Nathan's preschool class did a short local field trip this morning and I got to go as a hand holder volunteer :) The class went into downtown Kirkland by the water to a mailbox and mailed a letter. Sounds silly but it was very cute. They passed a construction area where a crane was a big hit and then they were lucky enough to encounter a mailman across the street and managed to corner him for a class photo lol. The guy was really nice but you know he went back to the post office to laugh about it with coworkers. Then on the way back up to the classroom a fire was in progress so not only did we get to hear the horribly loud fire alarm but all of the rescue vehicles came and all of the boys in the class went crazy for the cool trucks. The class stopped for another photo opp in front of one of the Kirkland statues near the school and then headed back to play games. Short and sweet and cute. Here's some photos
