November stuff

I continue to have a blast doing science with the K/1 class at school.



We headed up to Alderwood as usual for Santa pictures. Ali did great this year. She was a little apprehensive but when I told her Santa needed to know what was on her Christmas list or he wouldnt bring anything, that pretty much made up her mind for her :)

 

On the way out to the car we went through Nordstroms and a girl tackled us to make sure we knew that Yo Gabba Gabba was going to be there for pictures (and a great many sales endorsements as well lol) So we stuck around. Ali still hates people in costume so she wasnt thrilled but we are making progress since she allowed me to take her this close without issue.

Nathan got his first badge for cub scouts which he is proudly sporting on his uniform.

For Thanksgiving this year the classes at school did different presentations for the parents. Nathan's class had learned like 22 different power phrases (cant remember what they were called) such as initiative, self control, patience etc. They got to choose 3 and do a tri fold board to set out for their classroom display.

 

At the end of the month we decided to head over to Woodland Park zoo for their first time doing zoo lights. I've always heard of the Tacoma Zoo doing them but never wanted to drive all the way out there for it. I have no idea if this was similar or better or worse but it was a nice way to kick off the holidays. And it didnt rain! Poor Nathan. He is so tired of me stalking him with a camera that he actually goes out of his way to give me corny smiles. The results are interesting...
